Recently, the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA) officially issued the Notice on Determining the Demonstration Establishment Objects for the Construction of a National Intellectual Property Powerhouse (2025–2027) (Guozhifa Yunhanzi〔2026〕No. 25). Hainan Huayan Collagen Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Hainan Huayan”) has been successfully selected.
This recognition not only marks the authoritative endorsement of Hainan Huayan’s comprehensive intellectual property management capabilities by the national IP authority, but also fully demonstrates the company’s core competitiveness and brand influence as a full‑solution service provider of functional protein peptides.
Demonstration Significance
National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprises are part of the demonstration initiative for building a country strong in intellectual property rights. This is the first cycle launched under the new standards and mechanisms following the integration of relevant demonstration programs by CNIPA, with a new cycle initiated every three years. Selected enterprises must pass rigorous multi‑stage evaluations and meet stringent criteria including high patent quality, effective commercialization, sound management systems, and strong industry leadership.
As one of the highest honors in China’s intellectual property sector, the program aims to foster a group of backbone enterprises with independent intellectual property rights, well‑known brands, and international competitive advantages. It holds strategic significance in advancing the innovation‑driven development strategy and promoting economic transformation and upgrading.
Hainan Huayan was previously honored as a National Intellectual Property Advantage Enterprise. Following continuous improvement and development, it has now been included in the first batch of National Intellectual Property Demonstration Enterprises. This approval not only represents high recognition of the company’s past IP work, but also brings targeted policy support during the three‑year cultivation period, covering policy empowerment, resource connection, experience exchange, and other aspects. This will help the company further improve its intellectual property management and deeply integrate technological innovation with industrial development.

To date, Hainan Huayan holds more than 120 domestic and international patents in total. It has participated in drafting 4 national standards and 2 industrial standards for collagen peptides, established over 150 enterprise standards, and developed more than 100 product categories.
